1. Display and exhibition
Diem Phung Thi Art Foundation is displaying nearly 120 works out of a total of 367 unique works of Diem Phung Thi artist in indoor and outdoor spaces, showing the process of over 40 years of devotion to art world in general and Vietnam in particular, especially sculpture.
* Indoor space:
In the exhibition space with a total area of 2 floors of the building more than 400m2; nearly 120 artworks of Diem Phung Thi are displayed in three stages of composition with different themes such as: Language of Diem Phung Thi, Lady, War, Mother and Children, Painting, Onyx
The very first period was the sensual artworks, harmonious and sexy from the female body with Eastern mystique. The round shapes and very sophisticated simplication expressing a desire for the warm and happy life. Diem Phung Thi artist did not immitate any model of anyone. The main materials in this period were mostly plaster, terracotta,composite. Later, the materials were more sustainable such as aluminum, copper, stone …
The second period was the exploration phase to assert the Diem Phung Thi’s language. She had a change in her own cognition from then the lines of shapes were stronger and more definitive but still having a seamless connection of former works. Diem Phung Thi began to open the concept of assembling the shapes together to create a new work. The refined and well-defined objects that were condensed help her to generalize into the simply elements which were letters of alphabet during the period.
The third period was the stage of arangement and assembling cubes to create unique works. The uniqueness of Diem Phung Thi created a sculpture based on arrangement and variation of 7 geometric modules. Based on 7 modules, she has assembled from this form to another … By her ingenuity, delication and sensitivity, one by one, with a slight change in size, position or color or material could become vivid images.
Moreover, there are a lot of photos and documents about her life and career are displayed in the first floor space of the building.
Documented images of Diem Phung Thi and relatives; familiar familiar items and some of the tools she used when composing …. on display in the Memorial Room in the second floor space. In this space, visitors can light incense to commemorate the artist who has devoted and wholeheartedly for the art.

* Outdoor space:
The spacious garden landscape with an area of 1,500 m2 is currently displaying 15 works which many materials such as stone, copper, concrete, composite … they are interspersed with flower cluster, trees, lawns to accentuate and embellish the exhibits. In addition, there are some stone benches made after modules placed in the outdoor space for visitors to rest when coming here to enjoy the art.
In addition to the permenent display work, Diem P hung Thi Art Foundation cooperates with institutions and individuals in organizing cultural and artistic activities with many topics to create richness and diversity in content activities to attract both domestic and overseas tourists… on anniversaries of the great Holidays of the country, Hue Festival, Hue Traditional Craft Festival …
2. Propagation and education
Organizing tours/ visits for students and domestic/ foreign art lovers to the exhibition of Diem Phung Thi’s artistic woks as well as creating favorable conditions for them to stydy Diem Phung Thi’s art.
* Experienced and creative activities
Diem Phung Thi Art Foundation is a place where regularly experienced and creative activities are organized for students and visitors to visit in many forms such as:
– Draw and color paintings on paper;
– Collage in the shape of the module;
– Create and assemble modules using various materials;
– Print traditional folk paintings such as: Dong Ho painting, Sinh village painting …
Many art competitions with various forms for students, pupils and children are also held here. Through these activities to educate the fine traditions of Vietnamese people; promote and introduce to the public about art in general and Diem Phung Thi art in particular; And encourage the creative spirit of young generation.
