Diem Phung Thi Art Foundation is one of the three exhibition spaces of Hue Fine Arts Museum (Diem Phung Thi Art Foundation, Le Ba Dang Art Foundation and Hue Fine Art Center), located at 17 Le Loi Street, Phu Nhuan Ward, Hue City, beside the poetic Huong River. The building was built in 1940 as one of 27 French architectural structures has been ranked in the list of preservation, promoting the values of landscape, cultural history, art architecture in Hue city by the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province. It is displaying and preserving 367 artworks (491items) with a variety of genres and unique materials of Diem Phung Thi sculptor that are presented to the people of Hue City.
With the heart of person who has moved far away but always looks forwards her homeland, desiring to contribute to culture and arts of the country; Diem Phung Thi artist wants to bring her works – her spiritual children to exhibit in Hue and offer to the people of the ancient capital. Overcoming initial difficulties and obstacles; with the support and cooperation of some artists, intellectuals and people who love art; Diem Phung Thi artist and the leaders of Hue City established Diem Phung Thi Art Foundation in 1993 at 01.Phan Boi Chau Street, Hue City.
In order to continue promoting the artistic value of Diem Phung Thi artist to the public and visitors; implementing the policy of the People’s Committee of Thua Thien Hue province in forming the cultural and artistic space of the province on Le Loi street; Therefore in April 2018, Diem Phung Thi Art Foundation was relocated to a new location at 17, Le Loi Street, Hue City.
